Day 3 | Friendly Match

09 | 04 | 2025

Cultart Pro brought Skopje’s artistic and cultural gems to life! From exploring the Museum of Contemporary Art Skopje with its stunning exhibition, 45 Years of the Faculty of Fine Arts, to the historic charm of Suli Ann, where Prof. Ana Frangovska inspired us with her talk on The Use of Photography in the Visual Arts—the day was a perfect blend of tradition and innovation.

The third day of the Cultart Pro Project unfolded as a harmonious blend of artistic exploration, cultural discovery, and collaborative creativity. Titled Friendly Match (Case Study), the day’s agenda showcased the rich cultural heritage of Skopje and its unique artistic landmarks.

The journey began with an inspiring walk through the heart of Skopje. Participants strolled through the vibrant central city area, with its bustling streets and historic charm, culminating in a visit to the Museum of Contemporary Art Skopje. Here, attendees marveled at the exhibition 45 Years of the Faculty of Fine Arts, a retrospective that illuminated the transformative journey of this esteemed institution in shaping the Macedonian art scene. Perched on the slopes of Mount Vodno, the museum itself is an architectural masterpiece, offering breathtaking views of the city below.

Later the spotlight shifted to the historic Suli Ann, an enchanting 15th-century Ottoman caravanserai nestled in the heart of Skopje’s Old Bazaar. Within its storied walls lies the Faculty of Fine Arts, a space where tradition meets innovation. University Professor and Ph.D. Ana Frangovska delivered an illuminating presentation titled The Use of Photography in the Visual Arts. Her talk delved into the dynamic interplay between photography and contemporary art, inspiring participants to reimagine the boundaries of visual creativity.

Following the presentation, attendees explored the Suli Ann’s charming surroundings and the Faculty of Fine Arts, soaking in the rich history and cultural resonance of this iconic site.

The afternoon’s session centered on collaboration, as participants gathered to consolidate materials and insights gained over the previous days. Group tasks were initiated, setting the stage for future creative projects that aim to merge artistic vision with cultural heritage.

Day 3 of Cultart Pro seamlessly intertwined Skopje’s historical treasures with innovative artistic perspectives, epitomizing the project’s mission to bridge past and future while fostering meaningful global collaborations. At the end of the day participants have formed groups for case studies, finalized their topics, and are eagerly preparing for the challenges awaiting them on Day 4 of the Cultart Photography Program in Skopje.
